President’s Message

On behalf of the Officers and Board of Directors of your chapter, I'd like to welcome you to the new chapter year. This year our focus will remain on educational programs, specifically on topics of significant importance to our members with a commitment to quality, low-cost education.

Our industry continues to be challenged by a number of factors and influences, from the need to improve quality and reduce costs, to understanding healthcare reform and its impact on our organizations. In the months ahead, we will have many opportunities to learn new information and hear new viewpoints in an effort to understand the coming challenges. With so much change occurring in our industry, you need HFMA now more than ever.

The National HFMA theme this year is "Step UP". I would like to personally invite all members to "Step UP" and participate in the coming chapter year. Attend as many HFMA educational meetings, seminars, and webinars as you can; become a committee member or send us an article to include in one of our newsletters. We face common problems and can benefit from other members experiences. By participating more and connecting with your fellow members, you will learn new things and maybe have a little fun along the way.

Our Chapter leaders are here to serve the members. Please feel free to contact any of the Chapter Officers, Board Members or Committee Chairpersons if you have an idea or suggestion. Your input matters....we would welcome hearing from you.
